Making a Table
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To start your table you will use this code:
<table>
<tr>
<td>
On the first line we call the table. Then on the second line we call the tr. And on the last line we start the td. You must have the table part of this code. Infact, it is pretty necessary to have all of this to start.
What is a Td?
A td is the cell in a row of a table:
------------------------------------
TD 1 | TD 2 | TD 3 | TD 4 | etc.
What is a Tr?
A tr is the row of a table:
------------------------------------
TR 1
-----
TR 2
-----
TR 3
-----
etc.
Now that you know what is what, lets take a look at this simple code:
<table>
<tr>
<td>
Hello
</td>
</tr>
</table>
On the first line we start the table. Then on the second we start the tr. Next on the third line we start the td. Now on the fourth line we write Hello. Then on the fifth line we end our td. Then we end our tr. Then on the last line we end the table. The finished result of this would like this:
Now we will add a background to our table.
<table bgcolor=black>
<tr>
<td>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
We're going to only look at the first line. On the first line we ad a line that says bgcolor=black. You can change black to red or another basic color, or you can use any six digit number.
Cell Spacing and Cell Padding
What is Cell Spacing?
Cell Spacing is the area between two tables.
So What is Cell Padding?
Cell Padding is the space from the text to the border.
Now that you know what cell padding and cell spacing are, lets look at a line of code.
<table bgcolor=000000 cellspacing=5 cellpadding=5>
First we will make a black background (000000=black). Then we will set the cell spacing as 5 and the cell padding as 5. Don't forget that you must ad the td's, tr's and the </> code to end your table and td's/tr's.
There are many other things that you can do with tables but for now we are gonna stick to the basics.

Font Styles & Effects
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now we will go over different styles of fonts you can use.

Images & Links
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, first lets look at a basic image code:
<img src=URL OF IMG border=0>
This code will draw your image on your page.
Now to links!
<a href=URL OF PAGE YOU WANT TO TARGET>Click here to go to my site!</a>
This code will create a link that will take you to your site in the same window.
Image links!
<a href=URL OF PAGE YOU WANT TO TARGET><img src=URL OF IMG border=0></a>
This will make your image and when someone clicks on it it will take you to your website.
Customizing your Links
<style type="text/css">
A:link { text-decoration: none; color:#FFFFFF; }
A:visited { text-decoration: none; color:#FFFFFF; }
A:hover { text-decoration: none; color:#CCCCCC; }
</style>
This is actually CSS, not HTML but I'll show you this anyways.
How to customize:
1st line - You can change none and the color (FFFFFF). This will appear on the regular link.
2nd line - You can change none and the color (FFFFFF). This will appear on the visited link.
3rd line - You can change none and the color (CCCCCC). This will appear on a hover link (when you hover over it).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other Stuff
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<center>CONTENT</center>
This will center your content.
<br>
A br is a break. This will skip a line down.
Pre table code.
<table bgcolor=000000 border=0 cellspacing=0><tr><td>
<table bgcolor=FFFFFF border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=5>
<tr>
<td>
Content
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td></tr></table>
All you really have to change is the red. You can also mess around with it to fit your settings. The table will bewhite with a black 1 pixel border. Sorry that I cant show you a preview.
